From the Deseret News, Salt Lake City, Utah, USA on 7 Nov, 1866, pg 8, Henry Criddle's obituary. It appears that this obituary first appeared in the Millennial Star, a Mormon newspaper of sorts, and was asked to copy it to the Deseret News.

Henry, his wife, and five children left for America in 1866. After a difficult voyage and journey on the plains, Henry took a chill when he and the other men were forced to hang onto the wagons while crossing an extremely cold river. He developed pneumonia and died in Pacific Springs, Dakota Territory. He was buried 17 Sep 1866 alongside the trail in Antelope Springs, Albany, Wyoming. Mary Ann brought the rest of her family to the Valley where eventually all of them were joined together.
