I was not able to find any histories on either Hans Hansen or his wife Ane Kjerstine Johansen, but I was able to learn that when they emigrated, that they travelled with the John R. Young company. They emigrated in 1863 from Denmark with their children Hans, Jr (10), Maren (4), Birthe (4), Anna (3) and they had a baby they named Johanes who was an infant. Hans and Ane’s baby Johanes died shortly after leaving Florence, Nebraska.
